High Five for Friday!

1.I bought some mums, gourds, and a pumpkin to spruce up my front porch and kitchen.









2. I received my September Glossybox!













3. I had some Honeybee's frozen yogurt with my husband.





4. I got these super cute Seychelles booties from Zappos.










5. I just love Frank Sinatra and have been listening to his "Best of the Best" album all week.

A Visitor in My Back Yard

While taking my dogs out this morning something caught my eye in our pond and I wondered over a bit closer. Was it an alligator? Nah. After a second look; yep, it sure was. I ran in and grabbed my camera and snapped this shot before he went underneath the water. Some people have stray cats in their back yard....we have alligators. Not to worry, we are familiar with them and have a beautiful fence that surrounds our back yard to protect our doggies (and us!)

We have company!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a fantastic weekend! My mother-in-law, Clare, came to visit us from Los Angeles for the week and we've been busy showing her around town. We celebrated her 70th birthday last Wednesday but let me tell you she's a spit fire and doesn't look at all like 70.  

On Thursday evening we took Clare to The Little Dipper, a quaint fondue restaurant in downtown Wilmington. It was Clare's first time at a fondue restaurant and she had a great time. I ate and drank a little too much for the first time in awhile and we had a lot to laugh about the next day.



We took Clare over to Bald Head Island on Saturday where we tooled around the island on a golf cart looking at the beautiful homes and went shopping.

I took her to Mayfaire shopping yesterday where we hit JCrew and Banana Republic. I got the beautiful JCrew Classic pavé link bracelet and Perfect Stripe Henley with Gold Buttons in bright fuscia. 


After that we hit Banana Republic where they were having a 30% off sale; I found this cute Striped Zip Sweater in True Navy and using two $10 rewards coupons I got the sweater (regularly $69.50) for $15.00. Yes, really!

High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday! I've had such a great week I almost hate for it to end. I've also had more than five things that made this week special, but here are the top five. Have a great weekend everyone!

1. I spent the weekend chasing Lauren. We spent some time at the  pool, the beach, and just running around the house.

2. It's been four long years since P!nk's last album; I couldn't wait until this week for the release of "The Truth About Love" and I wasn't disappointed.

3. My husband got me this adorable journal that I'm going to write my blog ideas in.

4. Jonnie and I went to Nikki's Restaurant and I got my favorite -"Sweet Potato Roll."






5. I went outlet shopping with my mother-in-law and she got me this adorable little bag from Kenneth Cole.
